Neuromuscular therapy also enhances the function of joints and muscles, and accelerates the overall healing process by facilitating the release of endorphins. Trigger point therapy, neuromuscular re-education, and proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation are modalities used within this practice.

Deep Tissue Massage is a highly effective method for releasing chronic stress areas due to misalignment, repetitive motions, and past lingering injuries. Due to the nature of the deep tissue work, open communication during the session is crucial to make sure you don't get too uncomfortable. Keep in mind that soreness is pretty common after the treatment, and that plenty of water should be ingested to aid with the flushing and removal of toxins that will have been released from the deep tissue during the session.

The practice of pranayama involves breathing exercises and patterns. You purposely inhale, exhale, and hold your breath in a specific sequence. In yoga, pranayama is used with other practices like physical postures (asanas) and meditation (dhyana). This practice can stand entirely on its own with the benefits it has to offer. There are different types of breathing patterns and exercises, contact me so we can figure out what will be best for you.

The Yoga Sutras of Patanjali define "asana" as "[a position that] is steady and comfortable". Patanjali mentions the ability to sit for extended periods as one of the eight limbs of his system. Asanas are also called yoga poses or yoga postures in English. When doing asanas, there are different levels: beginner, intermediate, and advanced. It’s always good to be kind with yourself and give your self love for where you are in your practice. It takes time and practice to be able to hold some of the harder poses.
